Instructor Offerings Educators General Session – Wed Mar 10 Judge and Jury! – Dave Page - In this lively, group participation session Dave will present a lawsuit resulting from an actual call (information changed to protect those involved), the process of deposition, courtroom testimony and cross examination…all targeting the training and education of the EMS personnel. Will your students withstand the scrutiny of the standard of care? Breakout Sessions Best practices in Virtual Education – Austin Mandeville – The last year has seen a virtual explosion – no pun intended – of online and streamed content. Austin will present time tested do’s and don’ts to help instructors get the most from their virtual training sessions. Model for Expert Performance- Heather Davis - The goal of any EMS Educator is to have students learn skills well enough to use them correctly when it counts; during a life threatening patient emergency! A model exists for development of psychomotor skills from piano playing to airway management that increases motivation to practice and improves exam pass rates and transfer of skills to real-life situations. Come learn about this model for development of expert performance and see how you can improve the psychomotor skills of your students for a career build on a solid skill foundation. Daily Habits of Clinical Masters – Dave Page - Are you already the best that you can be? Is plain-ol' "competence" enough for you? So how does one become the best of the EMS best? This interactive session will challenge you to define EMS greatness and create new professional goals for yourself. We will describe and learn to emulate the qualities of clinical masters. Come to this session and create a road map for becoming a "master" EMS clinician.
